Overview

This version introduces a new unified way of managing users, organisations and contacts a new consolidated contacts register. Additionally there is a new area to record staff or contact skills, training & expertise. Both these updates, when used in conjunction with a variety of search options allow you to manage users and contacts in bulk, to do such things as send a targeted communication to contacts when on boarding for an event.

Users as Contacts

Crisisworks User accounts are now managed via the Contacts register. This allows for more powerful searching as well as the ability to utilise the Communications feature to send notifications to both contacts and Crisisworks system users.

The new Contact form now includes additional User Account related fields used to manage system users.

Two email addresses and mobile numbers can now be added to contacts for better notification management with the ability to select which one to use to send Communications.

A new global event has bee created - Contacts Directory (Private) - to allocate sensitive contacts and user accounts into, keeping their details private and only accessible by those who have access to the event.


Organisations as Contacts

Organisations are also now managed via Contact records.

Contacts & Expertise

In addition, a new Expertise sub register has been added allowing for the addition of skills and qualifications data to be attached to contact records.

Expertise Categories and Sub-Categories can be managed on a per site basis via the look up system.

Communications from Requests and Information

This new release also adds the functionality to send a linked communication from inside registers such as requests & information. A new Communication section is available for users with permissions to send communication messages. Recipients can be added from existing contacts or positions within Crisisworks as well as adding ad-hoc email addresses and phone numbers.

Administrators have the ability to send the contents of the item or just a link to the item into the email as well as an optional custom subject and message.

On save of the item, a new communication message gets created and sent to the recipients selected.

Communication Recipient Groups

Some new functionality is available allowing you to add “groups” of recipients to the Recipients search box.

There is now the option for you to add the following recipient groups when entering Recipients for a Communication Message:
